i wish i hadnt seen that. Makes me want to find some protestors and show them what these young real americans sacraficed for our freedom.
yeah, it certainly puts movies like black hawk down in a new perspective. the problem is that these people don't care about the geneva convention, because they have nothing to lose when the Americans come. They'll all be killed or put in jail anyway, so they might as well go out fighting with this as one of their tools.

That's a rather generous explanation fo their behavior... from what former pows from 1991 said tonight on CNN, brutality and violations of the Geneva Convention seem to be standard procedure for the Iraqis. Might it not also be possible that some people don't see any reason why their enemies should be treated with the minimum amount of respect demanded by justice?
Well, the type of behavior exhibited in that video is the main reason why we're going in there in the first place. I guess my problem with it is that Al-Jazeera has turned into the media outlet for terrorists and brutal tyrants. It's a pretty sad state of affairs when most of the Arab channels are showing the same stuff. They have no minimum levels of decency over there apparently.
******.com is irresponsible for making that available.
Here is the request for the DoD to the press:
PRESS ADVISORY from the United States Department of Defense
No. 026-P
PRESS ADVISORY March 23, 2003
Out of respect for the families and consistent with the
principles of the Geneva Conventions:
1) We request news organizations not air or publish recognizable
images or audio recordings that identify POWs. Additionally, we
request you not use their names, first or last, or their unit
until next-of-kin notification is complete. We are working hard
to reach their families. We will notify you as soon as this is
done.
2) We repeat standing policy that news organizations not air or
publish recognizable images of deceased members of the U.S.
military or use their names, first or last, or their unit, until
next-of-kin notification is completed or 72 hours. We are
working hard to reach their families. We will notify you as
soon as this is done.

They dont fight just for US freedom, they fight for better and safety world.

I'm guessing ******.com is not what is generally referred to as "responsible media," myself.
yeah they hosted the Daniel Pearl video of his head being cut off right after it happened. The FBI told them to take it down, but apparently it was just posturing, as they didn't, and the FBI didn't act.

it's funny.i think that vidio the iraqis put out backfired miserably on them.saddam just justified our reasons for going in. :cantbeli:
Going entirely on what's displayed in the Arab media, they definitely don't cherish life over there like we do here. I think they see it as a victory for their Arab brethren instead of just another bad thing he's done. Maybe this will change when/if the Iraqi people stand behind us when all of this is over.

Not Pretty, but it looks like they werent executed. That head wound does not look like a bullit wound. These poor guys were probably alive when they were taken but expired due to their injuries.
Those wounds look bad but there may be a chance that some of these guys are still alive.
At least one of them definitely looks like a bullet wound. There's a fairly large hole just left of his temple, with blood coming out of the back of his head in line with the hole.
