Does anyone here have a Walther? I was thinking about checking one out, wondering what you guys think of them.

Specificallly, the P99, P990, or P22.

Alright cool. Was just wondering. No, it's not for a combat sidearm for me. I figured they were mostly police-line.

yeah, I have the P99 in .40. It's great, I only wish I had gotten the QA model, i.e. Single Action Only.

Other than that I love it.

I have a p99 in .40 and i like it. Nice gun, smooth trigger pull and is light. Depends on what you want the gun for and if it will be your entire collection or if you are adding to one. You can be smart and decide to go with one caliber and build a collection off of that or you can be like me and mix it up. I like having the different weapons and caliber's, but there are times it would be nice to just buy a couple of cases of one type of ammo.

The glocks are also nice if you are still looking. My next purchase is going to be a Kimber Tactical Pro II though.

I have a USP in .45, a Sig 226, CZ-75, P99, Glock 19, 22 (waiting on a 32) and S&W 396.

Just on a side note, it can't be that bad as a combat sidearm, since the Finnish Defence Forces some time ago chose the P99 as the offical (new) sidearm :)

And I bet they didn't just pull some pistol out of the blue, "some" testing might be behind the choice ;)
