Anyone catch the edited version they were showing on the news?
The Iraqi's would tie their hands bheind their backs and blindfold them and toss them off the roofs of buildings Some had their heads removed with swords, some had their tongues cut out, damn savages

That should prove that Iraq needed a regime change and that Saddam hussain is nothing more that a blood thirsty tyrannt who needed to go.

Why does thing appear to be such a big deal?
Torture has been on the go since before BC,there are countless States with an extremely poor track record when it comes to Torture and HR violations.
Look to South America where torture and mutilation were rife,also the Middle Eastas a whole has been guilty of such acts!
To isolate Iraq as the sole perpretrarors of such acts is exremely naive!!
There are also countless tortureres who have been granted sanction in many Western Countries too,this includes Britain and the United States!

And to add to what Argyll said above.... if every country that engages in this sort of thing requires a coalition-led "regime change" then the US military needs to increase in size about 1000 fold.

Note: I'm not saying that Iraq didn't need a regime change. This just seems to be making a mountain out of a molehill because it suits the current attitude to Saddam & his buddies (I'm quite sure this was going on when Iraq was America's big friend).

i reckon the reason they are showing it is becuase, the havn't found WMDs so they need another justifaction, HR. while it is true that HR abuses were taking place its not the main reason the US went in.

So the media is now using "shock tactics" to make people go 'wow thats pretty insane, lucky we invaded'.

Since Israel has WMD Iran and Sryia need to protect themselves. Thats IF they have WMD.
