Hello,

i just want to say that i thinking that the american, british, australian and polish forces in iraq really do a great job...
I really want to tell you that every soldier who fights for the freedom of the iraqi people is a good soldier...
But I can also understand the germans, they donīt want to go into a war because they had really bad memories at the wars in the 20. century (1. WW= 1914-1918 / 2.WW= 1939-1944) and the germans are really scared about biological, chemical attacks in Germany...

I would fight for the freedom in Iraq...

Thatīs my opinion as a German...

Bye, David

Hooah. I saw the same sorts of opinions when I was in Greece last week. Although I also heard of a mass demonstation against military action in Iraq. This post reminds us that the opinions and views of governments do not necessarily represent the views of all of the citizens under that government.

Hi everybody out there. I'm new here and its my first post in this forum though i've been browsing around for couple of weeks.

I'm just an ordinary boy/man living in Macau (its part of China since 1999, ok i expect u guys don really know where i'm from).

As this war started, Macau which is no different to most of the world, have lots of ppl out there yelling this is an unfaithfull war, saying Bush is an Axxhxxx (things like that u know). To be honest, i'm very pissed off with those ppl, they don know a thing about the situation in Iraq, they don have any knowledge reagrding how the Iraqi government treat its own ppl and violate the rules setup by the UN within this 12 years. Besides, as a chinese i'm felt very ashamed of how the chinese governement react to this crises and also the North Korea nuclear issue.........

All i wanna say is though i'm not american non an europeon, my heart and my prayers are with the coalition. Kick Saddam's ass and bring back life to the poor Iraqi.

God bless the troops out there.

(My english is not that good but hope u guys get what i mean, Thx)

Rommel187; That must be the first time in history that the Icelandic flag has been burned in anger. If not some Brits burned it in anger in 1973- Anyway, truly a historic event.
Take it easy on that anyway. Better to burn flags than people.

I hope you dont mind me saying this but I think that must adults realise that chemical attack won't come from saddam unless it's terrorist and even then it's unlikely germany would be targeted even if it joined the coalition.

ichabe-here in america if your burning a flag you might as well be burning my dad's body that fought in vietnam.that flag flies because good men and women fought and bled and got massacred and mutilated.so next time you think free speech is burning someones flag think of all the dead solgiers.i don't mean to get on you so don't take it wrong.

If and when Sadaam gets cornered he will be even more tempted to use WMDs and I pray to god he doesnt. It would be highly unlikely he would attack Germany, the first attack would go to either Israel or Kuwait if it were another country besides our boys inside Iraq.

I am not scared of a terrorist attack with WMD. And sorry most Germans are not, either. There have been some discussions about this topic and some Germans worry about it...but worrying is a national german pasttime. Germans worry about war, they worry about the economy, they worry about the future, they worry about the past...they even worry that they are worrying too much.
So of course the possibility of an terrorist attack with biological or chemical weapons is another golden opportunity to worry about something.
Does not mean anything really.

Hmm, why would they be burning the flag of Iceland? Perhaps they thought it was the flag of the Uk? It's not Very similar, but it could get confused with it I suppose..

British troops found some weapons in the un compond in the south
among the things they found were weapons with US-IRAQ 5/1980.

Piccolo; For your information. Iceland has send military personell to the war. As the fact is that Iceland doesnt have a standing army, it may sound a little weird. But if I'm not wrong, it could be medical personell as doctors and/or nurses.

And about the issue of flag burning. The flag is a symbol, yes. But it is also "just" a piece of cloth. I find it more scaring about the burning of books and music cd's. You all know what they say about that...!

CENTCOM today showed a weapons video of GPS jamming position being taken out by what else? a GPS guided bomb. Russian technicians havent taken into account with the newer generation GPS bombs that have on board anti-jamming equipment and other countermeasures ie: inertial guidance.

What's next? Anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-counter-anti-counter-anti-jamming equipment?

Kitsune

That exists already Hood...
But they are working on countermeasures against it. ;)

I just wanted to say: **** OFF CHIRAC! Go and make money on your Sadaam-oil!

People who burn flags are primitive...
