why settle for less? just save for a PS3 when it comes out. Besides, its not top notch graphics (maybe for portable, but IMO a waste of money for portable games)

Man, I can see forsee this thing already being a problem in highschools. Maybe not college or uni (like they care), but teachers in HS are gonna have to start swiping these things.

I think they already have that problem with more basic stuff. You should have seen us in high school. Thanks to our great new studying system we were supposed to have those graphical calculators which could do all all kinds of cool ****. We had the Casio CFX-9850GB Plus, that thing was cool as hell. There were loads of games for it out on the internet, I once personally spend several hours typing a copy of some sort of Mario platform game into the thing. Oh and did I mention you could store formulas and anything else that would come in 'handy' in it? :D

The world is going to be so lazy in the next 10 years kids will be never go to a higher education. They will maybe barely finish highschool, but when you have so many hightech cool things, suddenly kids don't want to do anything else. I can relate to that, but I can easily browse and do 4-6 hours of homework at the same time.

Well.. I dont think that the kids in Nl are like that way, if you know the 2nd phase at school, you know that there is barely any spare time in your schedule here.. Luckily I had a 'nice' schedule ; 24 hours per week, damn I'm lucky p-)
but the schoolsystem here really sucks.. Especially the lazy kids suffered, because now they have to work twice as hard as last year! rofl

True the games sucked, but when you don't have anything better it's still better than nothing. :D

Unless you're a lazy kid who seems to do pretty well with not studying at all... Besides, the whole system doesn't really teach you much of anything. It just totally blows. And in my last year I had periods where I had around 20 hours of lessons too...

No ****. Me being born in 1986, i think me and people about my age are the last ones with any link to 'The Good old Days'.
It's bad when you're 18 and have thoughts like 'kids these days' p-)

Nah, it already started. Back in high school I knew several guys who were held back a year, or who degraded to a lower difficulty level of high school (below their skill) because of playing too much Counter-Strike. :|
