Julius césar becomes hysterical on EBURONe 2years after the massacre of his legions and half! It did without much things in 2years!
Why a crisis on EBURONe ?
What could be more significant than the massacre of its henchmen?

'Gaius' didn't hate 'em. He just promoted his countrymen's fears of the Gauls so he could go out and do his genocides in Gaul and in the name of protecting Rome and then get elected Ceasar for his great generalship. Read his book.

Precisely, read this book!
It is known that Jules Cesar to order the génocide of EBURONe. Why?
With the fact, Jules César at summer plundered the gaule to pay its debts and because it was excluded from the fashionable life of Rome.
And read this topic too : http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=35081 ;)

It was just another friggen 'WMD chase' as justification for his promotion.
Only in this case, the non-Roman allied tribes were the WMD.

I'm drawing an anology between Gais Julius Ceasar's Gaulish campaign and G. Bushes invasion of Iraq.
Julius used the terror that the Romans had for the Celts to portray the Gauls as a threat to the Roman empire. Romans were terrified of the Celts due to their expansion into their territory hundreds of years earlier. Rome awarded Cesar the resources, and every victory, every genocide he used as propaganda to show the citizens of Rome how he was 'the man' who could best protect them. His Gallo-Roman Wars is the best example of propaganda. It got him elected Ceasar.
In the same way Bush used 'Saddam's threat' (the WMDS) on a fearful U.S. populace to further his political goals. (wheather the threat was real or not it WAS worked on by his propagandaists. )
his propaganda campaign
