Not a bad little gun. Though there are other 9mm out there that I would prefer to own.

For a CCL weapon, its not bad. My hands are pretty large and I find the placement of of some of the release switches (mag and slide) a little tight.

Light weight and fairly ergonomic and cheap in price.

Again, there are better hand guns out there and worse as well.

Personally, I would suggest a different gun. Save another 150 dollars and buy a SiG or something comparable.

But, like all guns, its a personal thing, you could pick it up and love it. *shrug*

I own one too, and totally agree with Durandal. Feels extremely comfortable in my hands. The magazine release takes a little bit of getting used to. A couple of times Ive somehow managed to accidentally release the magazine while firing the weapon. Although I believe one of my magazines may be faulty.

I dont know if your still interested, but I just found a really good Walther FAQ site.

The more time I spend with my P99 the more I like it.

Walther also make a fairly new compact P99 that I was unaware of.

Why Not?

Im guessing, because of "AntiStress" veeery long trigger squeeze in civi versions. M/LE version don't have it here - at least in Poland (we were producing 99 in FB Radom for some time).

New 99 have nice lengtened mag release and few other details. I do prefer Glock or SigSauer anyways.

Only the first round has the looong trigger pull or "AntiStress" as they call it.
There is also a double action only version (P99DAO),now that would be a pain in the ass to me.

It's totally wrong to say this but;

I have only handled the airsoft version, and it fits like a glove.

Pretty comfy, sells OK usually, don't personally like the mag release. Decocker is handy and doesn't catch on stuff much.

I'm not a big fan of Walther. It's not a bad gun.
