Hi,
for my next trekking/backpacking tour I am searching for
1. a vest with pockets, but it has to fit under the straps/belts/braces (donīt know the correct word for it) of the backpack/Rucksack. Iīm not sure if such a vest exists.
2. a leg bag. I never bought any military equipment so I donīt know a internet shop where I can buy some. A german/european shop would be great.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't buy in Europe with the dollar we have. European shops are more expensive anyway, and now...
I think vest you are looking for is as light and thin as possible since you are not carrying any heavy ammo with you. I take it you are also not going to crawl too much? :)
Here is a very light one, probably ****ty quality but the price is right. :)

I have some gear from Blackhawk, and I like those. They are also for very rough use. Their utility vest could be what you are looking for, depending on your structure it should ride high enough to go over your ruck's belt:

I like this drop leg pouch, very good quality. Holds a e.g. gas mask and handcuffs (in small front pocket) nicely, spacey.

There you already have two stores you can visit, but see also these:

Thank you very much. woot
Itīs true, I donīt want to carry any ammo and I am not going to crawl. :P
The first mesh vest seems to be useful. The second one seems to have too thick pouches, I think.
Thank you once again for your help.

I tried military stuff as well. For longer trips military equipment is much too heavy and uncomfortable. ;)

I think the vest Idea is good, I was thinking about using one next time I go off on a civvy holiday. Let me know how it works if you do use one.
I'm not so sure about the leg bag though. If you're not careful, it could end up being very annoying and could cause sores from rubbing/bouncing as you walk.

Gentleman
I would like to buy a really good backpack, from Blackhawk Industries. Since a European asked here, I also will do that and dont start a new thread.
Which online shop is the best one ? Some say Lightfighter is good but others say they make sometimes problems.
Is here a European or anyone else who know how high the tax from America to lets saaaay Germany is ? Would there be any extra costs or only tax and shipping.
Please answer to someone from Europe who still respect the worth of American gear p-)
PS: Anyone here with experience on the Blackhawk airborne X-3 RAPTOR Pack ? I expect the best ;)

Good stuff yes but, with import tax the costs can get really high I heard.
Could an European tell me what costs comes with an import from America ?
I'm also new on credit cards, you someone say if the money in euro is automatically changed into USD if sent ?
I heard here an import tax of 13% for Germany, but the normal tax in Germany is 16%. Is there anything else beside that tax and make Lightfighter really problems these days ?
Thanks

what exactly are you looking to carry in the vest? I don't have many things I need very quick access to while backpacking. Compass/map in a small pouch on the hip belt and maybe a knife, anything more annoys the hell out of me when hiking with a pack..

I just received a box from the states yesterday, They charged me Import Tax for the value and the weight. this tax depends on what kind of material it may be..example, nylon imported into CH, cost 10.--Chf per Kg plus 7.6% TVA for the value...
