Yeah, I never considered Middle Easterners to be very intelligent. I've met a few who were but they had all been educated in the west. I'm mean thousands of years in the same region and still haven't gotten their sh!t together? WTF,over?

That's what happens when religious dictatorships rule the land. When people aren't given any choices to how they live their lives, creativity is the first thing that goes. The same thing happened a long time ago in France and England where the king was considered the holiest person in the land, second only to God. You know what fixed it? We moved out. :) We went to North America. Unfortunately these people don't have anywhere to go. If they speak out, they're shot. It'll be interesting to see what happens in Iraq. Independent of whether we go to war with them, some changes might occur. BTW, you shouldn't mix uneducated with unintelligent. They mean very different things.

Wrong again kid. It was a geo-political statement, not race related in any way, shape, or form. I said Middle Eastern. Lots of different races' and culture's in there. Any society that isn't secular either hasn't thought things through enough, or doesn't have the brains to do so. If you did some more reading you'd agree with me, but you're probebly a liberal.

Although I feel that organized religion is a pretty awful thing, it hardly means that someone is unintelligent. The boss of my last company was one of the smartest people I'll ever meet, but also extremely religious. My point being, just because someone believes in a certain thing, that hardly cancels out the rest of their brain's abilities.

A perfect example would be where people from such countries struggle to come here to make a better life for themselves. Remember that you'd believe such things too if there was only 1 newspaper and tv station shouting religious propaganda 24/7. If you never heard any other view of the world for your entire life, you'd never know that anything else was possible. That's not unintelligent, that's just the environment you're brought up in. A perfect example of it is the 6 year old Palestinian school girl who tells the visiting tv crew, that she wants to blow herself up on an Israeli bus when she gets a bit older. Her whole class nodded their head and said they wanted to also. You could ask the dumbest guy on the street who scrapes sewage from a sewer for a living to blow himself up and he'd tell you to go stuff it. It's about brainwashing, not intelligence.
