I use those ESS Profile goggles, so does the rest of the team now, go to the ESS homepage and read why. What's said about them there is actually true. Also tried the Bolle Commando previously, worked fair enough.
ESS setup:

We're issued the Dutch bolle goggles, i've never in my life used anything as crap and useless as those. What must have gone through the head of the person who selected them for issue!? Too wide and uncomfortable. They came with three cheap as plastic lenses; clear, yellow and smoke. According to the instruction booklet they're scartch resistant, but after two or three days of normal use they were scratched hazy to the point where i only had a tiny part in the corner i could see through; change lense, repeat. Avoid like the plague is my advice on these things!

The best goggles so far. Bolle X500 & X800 where X-times worst than ESS.

I think so.
That is what the guy at Bradley's Mil Surp here at Drum called them when I bought them, and I thought the name fit well. I think they are actually called something like "Goggle, Dust Dirt Wind, Protection, with strap".

Here's mine. They're Bolle 500's..
To tell you the truth , they're a pain in the face (literally) to play with if you're wearing Vietnam - kit , including an M1 helmet. Some field caps and these goggles produce problems also..
I've been thinking about buying myself a pair of the Bolle 800's and sell these or something.. They're much smaller and fit better with other headgear.

Wiley-X CQC

Do you actually have Wiley-X or are you just putting that to be cool?
What is your opinion of them, becuase I wore a mates twice over in Iraq and never again will I wear them - they are horrible.
Issue ones are heaps better (Oaklys) and besides having to wear them as SOP, I can't say I'm a big fan of goggles.

I use Oakley Assault goggles....but if you spray an oakley A-frame snow goggle in matte black it's the same.

I don't put Wiley-x TO BE COOL, otherwise I would have chosen Oakleys. The bolle are issued but we've got the choice of our goggles.
I own the W-X CQC, ESS NVG( good stuff, but the plastic seal hurts if you wear them a couple of hours)
The only downside of the W-X CQC it's quickly fogged up, but I use this

no1 - they fog
no2 - they hurt (patrols dont last 15 minutes - not that I actually patrol these days p-) )
no3 - the dont have as much coverage as say a big pair of issued oaklys
no4 - If it was day time - I just wore sunnies - if it was nighttime I wore nothing or else if needed I just wore the issue oaklys (a few guys splashed out some big bucks on equipment - yet still ended up coming back to using issue stuff)

I'm sick of my ESS Profile NVG's. It just fogs all the time and is uncomfortable to use. I like my Bolle 500 goggles... only minus comes from its big size.
...maybe I try Bolle T800 next...

Oakley now makes what they call the SI attack goggle.
it is basically the same goggle you have but with a little different strap.

they are making them in desert and OD also.
I have a pair desert. :D best pair of goggles I ever owned. better the ESS because the frame material is more flexible, better the bolle becausei never had it fogged up, comfortable and breath well for a goggle.
