First time shown in 1997. Not much info about this one except that this is one of the first competitors to become new Russian MBT.

PS: There is very hot discussion (40 pages with graphics, formulaes and couple insults) on one armour forum what is better: T-80UM or M1A2. Answer is "it depends" :) Sorry, no ablsolute winners.

Everyone knows that the Abrams is a badass. The Russian economy is in shambles, where the heck they come up with the money to build the T-80UM?

Military equipment plays a big role in the Russian Economy. Much of the former Soviet industrial culture revolved around military application. Many of these engineers and companies still exist and are not just soliciting Russian customers but global sales as well.

I hear this new new tank is supposed to better then the Abrams :( .....but well come up with something better one day :D ...nice pics by the way

Yea Yea.....One day when i become a great tank commander :D and Germany invades Europe again for some reason, me and crew will be knocking out your LeoA6 left and right in our awsome Abrams :P grrrrrrrrrrrrr :D Bring it on hehehehe :P

It is supposed to have a gun in the 6 inch calibre range... the gun launched ATGM could also be fire and forget MMW radar homing.

Should be interesting.

I think it is in human understable form. I just must get used to cyrylica at first time, this is always problem to me when reading russian esspecialy when many different fonts kinds is used at the time(not this case).

the worst part is always to get use to "bukwy"and reamember that not all words in polish are similiar in russian after that it's downhill:)
