Thats just ****ing stupid. You guys came in with less than a year left in the war. By that time the germans were as good as dead.
It was still a help much appreciated situation though. :hug:

WW1 wasn't like WW2 where Europe was screwed without the manpower the US had to offer. Had the US not been drawn into WW1, it's highly probable that the Allies would have triumphed, though not as quickly.

From what I understand it was sort of a stalemate, with the Allies barely having the upper hand. Then the US came in and the Allies could drive the Central back.

Good Story- Ernst Juenger- in Stroms of Steel- he was the youngest Commander of a Stormtrooper unit in WWI and the youngest who get promoted with the Pour le merit...
or read Eric Maria Remarque( spell?) all quite at the Western Front.
