What is the best Canadian beer? I know you Canadians know beer, I went to Canada recently and Coors Light is probably 1/2 as good as the cheapest stuff there, Kokanee.
My choice = Sleeman's from Vancouver.

Straight up no questions asked, best thing to come from the East Coast of Canada: Alexander Keiths.

I only live a couple of hours from TB, Ont. in Northern MN. Gotta say the Canadians know their beer.

When eating a meal: Moosehead
When chilling in the bar: Alexander Keiths
When the taps freeze or they run out, try the following:
Ricards Red
Steamwhistle
Creemore
Moslon Dry .. still drink that one because that was my beer through university... has a bit more alcohol.. tastes better than Molson Canadian or Labatt's Blue
The only way you'll know is by visiting Canada and paying a visit to the local beer store

Sleeman's is from Kitchener.
My fav Labbatt Classic or Sleemans, but I mostly drink imported dutch beer like Grolsch or Grolsch Amber. Expensive but worth it.
I haven't tried Keith's yet.

I tried an amazing Chinese Beer last night. It was called Sying Tao, very smooth and very tasty, as well as no bitterness I thoroughly enjoyed it. It costs about $9.75 CDN for a six pack so its price is competitive with most beers. I give it a 5 out of 5 p-)
My favourite Canadian beer would have to be Labatt Genuine Classic. However rare is the occasion that I drink Canadian beer. I much more prefer imports cause there is so much different tastes and selection and my mouth is watering right now and blah p-)

Molson Canadian is my favourite Canadian beer, but there are some really good beers.
Two beers I don't like are the Kokanee and the Moosehead.
Okay, I don't like the Kokanee because I've had too much once

Im a Canadian that drinks everynight. There is different beer for different situations.
First if your going to be drinking outside in the canadian winter drink Lucky Lager. Its an aquired taste for sure, with Lucky you have two choices the white(5%) or black (6%) either way you get hammer quite quickly just dont let them get warm. You wont feel so "Lucky" when they get warm.
For working on cars we drink Kokanne, we buy them in whats called "mountain packs" which is around 35 beer if my memory is any good. Try doing a front wheel engine swap on a toyota corolla while drinking those bad boys.
For going to parties and drinking you have to drink Molson Canadian out of the bottles.
Drinking down at the bar also we drink Molson Canadian outta the pitchers, its really good for washing down greasy bar food.

I'm an American, so the only Canadian beer I've tried was Labatt Blue, and that was pretty good (in my opinion anyway).

Spine, Sleeman's is made in Guelph. Just like in most other countries though, domestic beers gets boring because we saturate ourselves on it as teens.
There's a bar in Hamilton called Beers of the World, which has like a 20 page menu listing the different beers that they carry from around the world. They carry hundreds of brands from pretty much everywhere. Neat place.

For you Americans like myself you may be suprised to find in Canada there are few liquor stores, but each of them have just about anything you can think of. The only problem = they close early.
Another question for you Canadians/Canadian beer fans: What's your favorite lager for a lager n' lime?

The best beer I've ever had...there are so many. I can name the worst beer though.
Bull max! Wild Cat! Labatt blue!
My personal Favourites:
Rickards Red(not sure if its canadian though) Kokanee(BC Beer! woo!) and an Unibroue product, but I prefer Maudite the most.

Me and my buddy had a drinking contest the other day...bought a mountain pack. 30 beers, my buddy beat me. I felt so ashamed

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, Canadian beer sucks monkey balls. So does American beer, even more so. You haven't tried beer until you tried Czech or Polish beer. German and Dutch is OK too, but every other country should be prohibited from brewing, especially USA, Canada and UK.

Dear God man! Canadian whiskey is the only I don't like! Crown Royal isn't fit for my dog!
Try some GOOD whiskeies:
Glenlivet, Balmoral, Balvenie, Walker Blue (if you like blends), Gelnmorangie, Laphroaig, Bushmills, Jameson, Wild Turkey, Knob Creek, Maker's Mark, Labrot & Graham Woodford Reserve, so on, etc. usw....
Canadian beer I do like, but I do not care for their whiskey.

Knob Creek and Wild Turkey are bourbons, not the same to me as a blended whisky. As far as bourbon goes, to me, you can't beat Jim Beam.
BTW, I saw a show on the History channel the other night on the manufacture of all the different kinds of liquor. Very interesting (even my wife watched and she HATES the History channel)
As far as ALL Canadian whiskey I never said I liked Canadian Mist or anything, jeez!

If I want to drink anything Spanish then I'll drink a nice Spanish red wine. When it comes to beer I can't get any Spanish beer here in B.C. so I'll stick with my Canadian beer :P ;) As far as beer goes, drinking out of can is horrible....I'll get bottles anyday to avoid that metallic tang you get from drinking out of a can.
