Ahh yes, it is a life jacket wonderful inventions when you fall into water you inflate it and it keeps you upright and stops you from sinking.

considering it has LHA-5 stamped on it - it's probably off the SAR bird from the USS Peleliu. Looks like the rubber duck life vests they give to passengers on helo flights - that pouch on the string should have a dye pack or strobe light in it. do you have it? if it's the kind I'm thinking of it folds up into it's own pouch and can be worn around the waist
