I have no information on these trials, these were as shocking to me as they were to you. But they were trialing in Rena.
The Dingos' were shown in Okt, the FUCHS was shown in April of 2004. Probably no help. :|

Now that's revolutionary camouflage... it keeps itself from being seen by blinding the enemy with its looks. Now that's Dutch inventiveness. ;)
I really don't see how you think the Dingo looks so cool. The Fuchs looks a thousand times more badass if you ask me. :)

Please don't tell me the Norwegians really plan purchasing the Fuchs.
Nothing against the Fuchs, it's a great vehicle and our Army has more than 1.000 fielded in all versions, but - hello - it is from the 70ies...
Why don't you go for sth more modern? Like the GTK for example?

yes that one is also so smoking hot it makes my eyes bleed making it very difficult to look at it

BECAUSE IT SCREAMS BEEFCAKE!
we need a properly armoured patrol vehicle and Dingo is the best

I've thought the Dingo looked awesome since the first time I saw it. Of course I also think the bike I ride is awesome when so many think it is ugly.

I have to agree with this one, the FUCHS looks pretty cool, but the Dingo has like the knock-off of some new-age hummer.

Because Germany gave us (the US ) some (and the IDF) for the first gulf war. The US Army never had that much Dregger stuff, after using the FOX, and Dregger stuff they liked it (Dont know about the spelling on Dregger- it is a company in Germany that makes mining stuff, and gas testing things).
For an armored cargo truck the fox is very nice, works, and as you said bee around for years. I could always tell if a German Reserve unit was training by the number of Fuchs they had in the motor pool at the training bases. If it was one or two most of the time it was a Active unit, if it was more then it was reserve (many times a territorial unit? Something like that). The Boarder Patrol was playing with one by the East German Boarder, I never did understand why (1977? 79).
NBC recce probably
they monitor for these sort of attacks so that an adequite response can be taken seconds after the strike has taken place

The Dingo may look ugly but I'll bet it's more resistant to road side bombs than the HMMWV that the Americans are using around in Iraq!
Who cares if it's ugly if it get's the job done.

It would all have to do with the size of bomb. BTW the US has a great many AFVs . From armored Blasers, to M-1A2s. The Armored hummers are on the low end. FYI a good number of countries use it in both armored, and unarmored form.
Bottom line is nothing works for all cases, and nothing will.

No matter what they decide to go for, its all a bit in the future as they program to purchase new vehicles has been posponed due to cutbacks.. I guess almost anything armored provides more protection than the mercedes 4x4 they use now..

Dräger.
They produce a lot of stuff concerned with gases - gas masks, breathing devices (for divers/firefighters and hospitals), etc.

I thank you sir for the correction. Yes those are the people/ that is the company. Very good stuff. Very easy to work with, well made, and it works.
