Yeah, those against an Anti-Tank mine a Hummer wouldn't fair much better. I hate how on the news they were condemning the Defence department for not getting new Trucks, but I was talking to a reserve guy awhile back when I was working at the PNE and he told me they were in the process of replacing the Iltis with those Mercedes wolfs(I think thats what they're called...I have a bad memory)

The media was complaining as to why they weren't using the LAVs on the patrols and what not...I dislike the Canadian media's approach to the Military, though they mean well the media just doesn't seem to understand most aspects of what is really going on.

its a pity you dodn't get the pinzgauer though that would have made no difference in the minning incident. Headr alot of good about them. Having seen HUMVEES that have been in RTA's I'm glad we stuck with the Land Rover they are much more solid.

I still think the canadians should have bought the L118 Light Gun

We Would've i think, But the Breach (or Loading thingy) was the same on the LG1 Mark 2 as the other canadian 105mm Guns.. so they picked that one so that the soldiers would be familiar with it. I heard this somewhere.
