I was wondering what you think about this what if scenario

suppose the terrorists blowup or otherwise disable all the major refineireis or ports in Saudi Arabia. Thus no oil will flow from there for an extended time.

How do you think that the Us and the Rest of the World would react both politically and militarily?

funny reply.

Althought my opinionis that there would be a possibility that the house of Saud would fall, since the main reason that the US supports the Sausi goverment is oil. Take that out of the equation and less of an incetive for support.

One might give a what if-reply, but this is a site maily for enthusiasts of different armed forces and the photos that comes with them. We are not experts either of foreign affairs or what evolves around it. :D (At least not all of us.)

True although you could hazard a guess on the military side of things. In that way it is similiar to the invade america thread.

The Abqaiq which is one of the biggest if the not biggest oil-processing facilities produces seven million barrels. A moderate or severe attack would make the average production of 6.8 million barrels a day about a million barrels for the next two months after the attack. The loss from the attack would be equivalent to one-third of the United States' current usage of crude oil. By seven months after the attack Abqaiq would be able to produce 4 million barrels again.

A simultaneous attack against five of points Saudi Arabia's downstream oil system would put the Saudi's out of the oil producing business for about two years.
