As much as I hate to do this, I feel I must share this with the board. Moderators, please feel free to delete. Seeings how this site is called Militaryphotos.net I would pressume that a quantity of members are or have been serving members in their respective countries.
Having had an interesting PM session with chrisjohn316. I decided I would attempt to enlighten him with some facts regarding soldiers and how they think.
My PM to him;

If you have never been in the Forces, you will never understand the humour. Yes, its black and dark but its the squaddies release through adversity. If you have ever seen a child have its head ripped off by a car bomb or seen mates lose a leg from shrapnel from a mortar or held a mother just prior to her dying next to her child from an indiscriminant rocket attack in Sarajevo or had to tell an old women you cant save her son because he is already dead...etc, etc. I could go on and give you a glimpse into my life. The culture shock from a civilian into this world of people who live with this sort of stuff daily and have to not only continue function as a human but also continue to be able to do their job in extremely adverse conditions. Yes, you may say its their choice to join the military but these are the people who ensure people like you can continue to live your life in the way that you do.
To see you push the issue of the British abuse scandal continually and so blinkered grips my **** to the bone. How easy is it for you to comment from your arm chair on situations that you have no concept of? I am in no way condoning the soldiers actions who have been found guilty but you are attempting to push the issue that ALL of the British Army is a bunch of ill disciplined bullies. Is it because you had a rough time over at Arrse?
I very much doubt anything I have said here will make any impact with you as you have demonstrated you have no intention to listen to people who may have a differing opinion to yours.
When you have completed military service and when you have some idea what soldiers (all around the world) have to endure (you imply you do with some of the memorial threads on your website) you may have some insight as to the mind of a soldier and what he needs to do to release the things he has to deal with. Im not on about beating up a few Iraqi thieves, Im on about his sense of humour. Just because you cannot understand it, it does not make it wrong.
His thoughtful and intellectual reply to me;

You really excuse abusing "mentally handicapped kids", verbally, physically and ******ly?
You are one sick bastard!
I shall allow the ex service and serving members to make a judgement.
