It seems that whatever Anthony Beevor writes a book about, paf! a film emerges. I can recommend Cornelius Ryan's 'The Last Battle', which I preferred to Beevor's 'Berlin', not least because he wrote it at a time when lots of the people involved were still alive. I haven't read Max Hasting's 'Armageddon' yet because it's still £25.

Although I've not seen this one yet, I'm very much looking forward to it. It's been out over here since Feb. an is call La Chute in French. Bruno Ganz, is a Swiss, and has gotten great reviews from all who've seen it. There is anotherone out too about the Hitler Jugen, that's also to be a good one to see. "Napole, Elite für den Führer".

It's based on the book "Hitlers last days" by Joachim Fest, not on a book by Anhony Beevor.

I've seen the movie twice in cinema and it's absolutely stunning! Can't wait till they release it on DVD.
