Oh, I didn't know there was a prequel...interesting.

I watched Ringu after The Ring, out of curiosity, and it was pretty good. There were some really creepy parts, but I think I may like the American version better..But maybe that's because The Ring, after seeing it a couple times, made me more immune to the suspense of Ringu, and thus it didn't frighten me as much. Still, both were really freaky...

I enjoyed it the first time when it was called Andalusian Dog (http://www.medienkunstnetz.de/works/un-chien-andalou/) by Salvadore Dali and the second time when it was called Eraserhead (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074486/) by David Lynch.

If you watch either more than 3 times, you're legally insane.
