I believe the major issue of force projection capabilities came up after Bosnia and Kosovo, how are they doing on that front? Are they actually aquiring more transports or are they still depending on American help?

Kosovo was a big reminder of just how far behind the US Europes forces had fallen in many respects. Long term plenty of new European systems are on the order book like new UAVs, the A-400, Storm Shadow, ASTOR and much greater amphibious capability. In a decade or so we'll have closed the gap to a limited degree. The 'problem' is that by 2015 the yanks will be developing their own next generation systems leavng us to play catchup yet again.
