Doubt it, although Germany did come pretty close to producing an A-bomb and had a heavy water plant in Norway(?) which was bombed by the British.

I think that they got as far as "tickling the dragons tail" but nothing more, some of the stuff I have read would lead me to believe that if it was not for internal bickering the Nazi's would have had a working bomb by early 1945.

There is one book on the subject of the Nazi nuke program that can be downloaded as a .pdf its called "The Virus House" http://fpp.co.uk/books/index.html its by David Irving so some of you folks might get a bit outraged, although as a person he has been discredited and his veiws on the Holocaust are questionable his early work still holds water.

Do a search for the "Heroes of Telemark."

And just for the record; It was the Americans that tried to bomb the heavy water plant at Vemork.

"The second important finding was the atomic tests carried out in Thuringia and on the Baltic Sea."

Then you could still find traces of radioactivity.

How funny :) This is one of these cases where the headline of the article immidiately doscounts any possibility that the theory presented in the article may be true:

A German historian has claimed in a new book presented on Monday that Nazi scientists successfully tested a tactical nuclear weapon in the last months of World War II.

I think it doesn't need any clarification. :)
