It seems like a number of long time forum members got banned today!

What's going on Hood??

Sure, it's your place and all, but banning people because of a rule,
that (seemingly, at least I haven't noticed it before) was added after the offence had happened, is a bit...questionable? :| :( :roll:

I also again propose that day-, week-, and month-longh bans are taken into use. Even a badly overheated flamewar cools pretty quickly when all the participants are spending a weeks holiday in the Island of Ban ;)

Banning users totally seldom has the desired effect, for they'll probably just return under a different nick

It was a temporary ban to gain attention. Hood has reinstated the offenders, but I wouldn't count on that happening in the future. The rule has been posted, and those who do not abide will be sent packing.
That said... I'm glad they're back. :D

Yeah, it was a temp ban. I was checking my PMs when the message came up. My first reaction was "WHAT?!" Then I went back and read Hood's posts and thought, "oh, okay. I get it now."

To be honest, I figured it was permanent so I just shrugged and went to bed. Didn't know I was "back" until this morning when I checked the chat.
