Could someone please explain where this incident is, and why Buddhist monks are burning the Norwegian flag? Someone said something about Sri Lanka, but I'm a bit behind the times regarding whatever conflict this might be.

More seriously, strongly religious Buddhists are like Muslim fundamentalists in that they are willing to die to further a political cause. The critical difference, though, is that they are not willing to kill innocent civilians at the same time:

Hell yeah. Although they have no natural resources Sri Lanka have good weather (atleast compared to Norway), and some decent beaches. Nice place for a holiday.

Ceilon Tea and also a great place to visit. Rubber plantations, batic, basket weaving and lots of sharks. You do avoid the Tigers though..

I know. They look downright sad about burning the flag. Like they're saying "Gosh, I really wish we weren't doing this, but we're kind of upset, Norway. Would you mind slightly adjusting policy? Okay, I gotta go to meditation now, sorry for bothering you, and really sorry about the flag thing." I just wanna give 'em a big hug and invite them over for tea and cookies. :hug:
