Al Jazeera has done a pretty thorough job of sanitizing their English web site; although the bias still shows, most of the really nasty, insane stuff (the kind of stuff that’s standard fare for Arab audiences) has been filtered out..

What I find amusing is that Al Jazeera is so quick to compare us to a man who killed 6 million Jews, at the same time so many of their readers have a deep rooted hatred of Israel. And yes, I stopped believing Al Jazeera sometime after they started posting news stories about the use of Napalm and mustard gas in Iraq. :slap:

ive been noticeing that al **** has been posting alot of BS lately but im wondering why hasnt anyone shutdown their website or at least try to hack it? like come on most people on the net probably hate seein the Bs there puttin up why not?

What amazes me the most, would be conditions of so called "prision abuse" would be a daily occurance in arab states like Saudi arabia and Iran. Funny how nothing much gets a mention of the human rights conditions in the holy lands.

It looks like its a condition of middle east culture to blame outsiders and turn a blind eye to the self inflicted holes they live in.

Before you start bad mouthing AJ. Why don't you Americans look at your own media and see how biased it is.

FOXNews Fair and Balanced.

Now look at AJ. It's target audience are people who 1. severely dislike Israel and the US. What better way to make sure keep your subscription base then to promote more hatred by comparing Bush to Hitler.

Foxnews does the same thing when it's so called "military advisors" promote the idea of the US going after Saudia Arabia, Iran, Syria, all in one hit.

Go back to WW1. the Allied media gave very much the same response to AJ on what the Kaiser was really like. As did the Germans on the Allies.

And god forbid. The American media's representation of the British during the war of 1812 depeciting the British Lion as a bloodsucking money grabber.

This type of cartoons, reporting it's nothing new. If anything it's not designed to inflame hatred. But rather a humoures piss take.

Hell, so many of my neighbors out here in CA say and do worse things regarding their own country and our involvement in Iraq and the GWOT, that I can't get too worked up over Al-Jazeera and their ilk. Anyway, our Turkish allies are right up there in publishing rabidly anti-American articles and political cartoons, and there are certainly plenty of leftist Euro-rags that publish things just as bad as Al-Jazeera. Why focus on the Arab slant, when the demonization of Pres. Bush and America takes place all over?
