The last 3 tanks of the 87th. to be destroyed - in the southern outskirts of Ismailia, at the time of cease-fire on Oct. 22nd.

* From what those tanks were hit? tank shell? they look bad...

EDIT : ok after a tiny look at the original site i saw that they wrote that those are RPG hits.

one of the bigest problom in yom kipur war was,that with all the new sovet anti tank weapon,that the M60 and the M48 codent dil with,their armer was too wik.

thanks for the pics. it does help to be reminded that there were severe costs for the israelis during that war.

many of the pics i have seen are from the counter-attack and tend to feature just syrian and egyptian vehicles that had been destroyed.

the third pic down.........in that pic the second weapons (rifle with bipod)......is that a swiss STG variant?? I cant remmember the name exactly............

Also anybody have a breakdown of Israeli used small arms during that war? Just interested to see.......I dont think they had standardized all that much at that point but again not sure.........thanx
