Things to do in Washington

Help me out people, Im visiting the US of A starting this thursday (as a British Government official :lol: :lol: )... Wheres good to go in Washington DC? Only there for 3 days or so, then off to Virginia to take in Norfolk Naval base amongst other things..
Also going to Virginia Beach (methinks?) Ive heard thats a decent place to hang about at night, any recommendations?

well i live in maryland so ive been to DC allot and i can say the best thigns to do are visit museums and landmarks. Also they have great live plays and orchestras that play there. Do NOT go to the night clubs.

If you're going to the Air and Space Museum, try and stop by their new annex as well...There are a lot of neat aircraft there. I think they run shuttle service from the main museum.

Also check out Arlington, the WWII Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam War Memorial.

beware virginia beach people dont like it when you stop at " their" gas station.......buddy of mine caught a tire iron to the head after he heard that, he then proceeded to break every bone in their bodies with a baseball bat. he later went to the hospital, i think he had a concussion.

by the way the criminals were a local gang at the gas station
