Non-Europeans to surpass 50% in big cities

More than half the populations of Toronto and Vancouver would be made up of non-Europeans in 12 years, according to a Statistics Canada report released Tuesday.

The study is designed to portray the cultural diversity of the Canada's population in 2017 -- the 150th anniversary of Confederation.

Projections show that the vast majority of non-Europeans would settle in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal -- Canada's three largest urban areas -- with almost three-quarters residing in those metropolises in 2017.

Nationwide, the study shows that one out of every five people in Canada could be a member of a visible minority by 2017..........

To clear the air, there have been numerous studies that have shown that "new Canadians" as, if not more productive than the norm. Good for them and shame on us.
The Fn-Liberals have been ramping up some spin on some growing racism claims lately but I think that's just the start of another slander attack on the Tories. More fear mongering because Paul Martin really has nothing to stand on, except scandal after scandal.

Indeed there are immigrants that abuse our welfare system but consider this:

More than 11% of the residents of my provincial constutuency are Asian immigrants (not just asian decent, but asian ORIGIN)... The average yearly income of a household in my constituency is $111 000 CDN, making it the second richest constituency in Alberta.

I share you're dislike for tax evasion but when I see how our money is thrown away by those fools, my distaste turns to envy. Regardless of where you live in Canada, our federal government is screwing us.
Our solders beg for gloves and boots yet we throw 2 Billion away on an unworkable gun registry.
We have no coastguard yet we will pay Quebec to stay in Canada
We pay lip service to child poverty but the $373 Million we give to Indian affairs every year, makes no difference.

Well said, a sentiment I often find myself saying too.

Now the question is what do we do about it? Seriously they need to be removed from power and not just replaced with another group that will do the same thing. Our elected officials at all levels need to be held accountable for their actions and responsible to their constiuents.

Mind the rot is deeper than that. We need to clean house among the civil service again at all levels that often are the real power behind the scenes, CAOs and Deputy Ministers whose only reason to exist is to maintain and increase their own little bloated empires.

Well a coup is out. While we may in many respects resemble a banana republic, aside from the climate and beaches, our military has been emasculated for a couple of decades now.

I guess that means developing an informed and responsible electorate, who actually put down the play station and get off their ass and go out and vote.

Ontario and Quebec together have 59% of the 301 seats in Canada and as long as the FLiberals keep buying their votes, we're helpless. Maybe after Quebec leaves, things might become more malleable.
With BC getting more and more comfy with China and Asia, and our developing offshore drilling projects, we will move up to a "have" status like Alberta, and maybe then, the West can get more respect.
Sorry for the rant but I'm a hopeless Western separatist. Untill all that happens though, I'd kill all the lawyers.

In July 2003, the total population of Canada was 31,629,677. At that point, the population of Ontario was 12,238,300 and that of Quebec was 7,487,169. Between them they had 62.36% of the population.

At this point there are 308 seats in federal parliament: Ontario has 106 and Quebec 75, between them ~59% of the seats.

Please explain to me why is this a problem.

In a discussion of western Canadian alienation based on the number of seats in federal parliament, which was considered skewed in favour of central Canada (and which I have shown is not accurate), your xenophobic views are irrelevant.

Re you point re stats, the trick is going to be getting those Ontario voters to remove their collective heads from their asses and vote something else besides Liberal.

Ideally a vote for another main stream party (PC?) would do the trick, but even another "fringe regional party" as happens with the BQ (although no longer a fringe party) in Quebec would suffice to bleed support away form the Liberals.

Mind yet another party with say 20-40 seats in the House of Commons may lead to more minority governments. However these can work, and they tend to keep the arrogance of the ruling party down a bit. look at how subdued Mr Dithers is these days compared to Cretin in his majority glory days.

Anything would be an improvement.

I'm familiar with the reasons behind the number of seats that each province has, and it is hard to refute that on the base of numbers but that does not make me feel any better.

As to Sharia law, I'm for anything that lets us deal with:
-Honduran refugee's that are arrested numerous times for selling dope on the streets of Vancouver, while they are welfare,
-East Indian Teens who kill old women while street racing,
-Addicted car thieves that steal up to seven cars a day,
-Terrorists that blow up planes and, after 20 years and millions, are found not guilty.

..and on and on. Our present form of government is not helping in these matters.

You're right.

In the end, it's always the strongest, the hardest identity who wins. Because multiculturalism is just a temporary system when a weakening people is still at the commands, but without any more strenght to lead.

In front of people believing in themselves, with strong and simple ideas and a precise ethnic aware-feeling, tolerant lemming with an unsecure identity are just cheap meals. With two different varieties between these lemmings: the believers who are just stupid and the cynic ones who are clever traitors hoping to be able to collaborate.

On this point, there is something hard to understand for me.

I know that the catholic church has been sometimes rather oppressive in Canada, the last century. And of course, all leftists and liberals have fought against this power (and it was often justified) with a great enthusiasm.

But why today the same leftists and liberals, who fought strongly against the catholic church, are so silent and shy just when another oppressive archaic religious system is trying to take its place in Canada?

The only possibility I see, it's because of the ethnomasochism of the whites who just love to critisize themselves and fear so much to make the same thing about alien cultures.

RICHMOND - A Polish immigrant who was walking through Minoru Park late Wednesday night after getting milk for his five-day-old baby was attacked by a swarm of about 20 Asian teenagers, Richmond RCMP said Thursday.

He received a broken nose but no life-threatening injuries.

The 28-year-old was taking a shortcut home through the park when the teenagers ran toward him and started yelling, beating, and kicking him, said Richmond RCMP spokesman Peter Thiessen.

The man, father of three young children, begged them to stop because he is a new father, but he feels they were frightened off after seeing blood, according to the RCMP........

Yeah, BigBaribal but teens always do stupid things.. The other day over here in my city a guy was attacked by a group of teens because he was gay and heading to work, The attackers were teens.



I stopped a gang of 18-20 year olds a few weeks ago and I told my story here at MP.Net. They were playing football and not allowing traffic to go threw, About 2 cars, They were threatening an old man in his car. They were kicking his car and the old man looked scared, So, I stepped in and got my hands dirty with them and 4 approached me out of the 30 guys that were there and 2 only attacked. Thank you, Sir. They the "group" also threatened to shoot me next time they see me. The one that was threatening the old man, I mean the voice of the group was the 1st one to attack me when I asked them to cutt it out. He was the one also to make a gun threat to me when he and his group was retreating. I never seen them again. It was crazy of me, Because the whole group could of attacked me and their was 30 guys.
