I am hoping to sell my Galil ARM 7.62 locally to raise funds to buy some Leica binoculars.
Just out of interest, how much would a Galil ARM sell for in the USA?

this is a true IMI Galil?.....not a knock off clone like ohio rapid fire correct?...as you can see the clones are damn expensive also....with tax and if you take in shipping, the clone is about $2000

Its a Magnum Research imported Galil, MR332, semi-auto only.

so what does your asking price convert into dollars?

He was asking 500 right? And the conversion from dollars to pounds is about 2 to 1, so about $1000. Of course this is all moot since it would be illegal to import the gun into the United States.

I hate to sell it, but rarely get up to the range due to family commitments.
The gun's in good condition and has NEVER stopped. I'll miss it :(
When I do go I'll just have to use my beloved Winchester M14 ;)
Incidentally, my friend has a broken extractor in his .308 Galil ARM. Does anybody know a good place to get parts?
I saw that Botac have a .308 bolt assembly for $49, but shipping to UK is around $50 !!

Looks like you chose the wrong country to sell this weapon in, Steve :D
Martin: Civvies can use the ranges at Folkestone/Hythe? That's just down the road from me, maybe there's hope for me yet in regards to a FAC.

Back in the day they could. A lot of MOD ranges get used by civvies got to shoot a ruger redhawk once while trying to find my Battalions shooting team
"you can't miss us we'll have parked up a four tonner and a land rover on the range  "
the redhawk owner was telling everyone his redhawk was more accurate than a rifle at 100 metres saddenly its not remotely true.
