Yep, I'd go with the GI simply because of the extra capacity.

What the hell are you guys talking about... GI, High capacity?
It's a regular 1911 and comes with only one 7 round magazine..... Only Para Ordnance makes high capacity 1911 that I know of.

I have Gi model, the sights on it suck, I'm not sure if they could be replaced... The Gun is accurate enough for me.

Here's my GI with "HIGH" capacity 10 round aftermarket mag.

It's 2005 new model,

But it would most likely have wider grip because of it's double stack magazine...
Not true 1911 IMO,
might as well make the gun look more modern if to make that big of a change.

Best .45 is in the picture forget springfield and take a sig 220 you will never regret the purchase...very tight gun, sights are good, and most accurate .45 i have shot right out of the box ever

Having shot mine for several years I wish I could share your view.
I prefer Glock 21 over Sig 220 any day.

Sergey31, is that a Hogue grip? Looks nice. How do you like it?

The GI has simple sights and wood grips. THe Mil-Spec is a GI, with plastic grips, and three dot sights. Other than that, they are nearly identical.

I've sold TONS of them. Never heard anything bad. Never had to do repairs either. Have fun.

Hogue grips are more comfortable then anything else....... It's probably the most cofortable handgun I've ever shot (grips are part of it),

What brand is the 10 round mag? Reliable?

I think it's ProMag..... It reliable in my gun, but I've heard others with diferent opinions on it. I guess it also depends on a gun.
