Any of you jokers been there? The wife got offered a job running the Environmental Department there. Should I tell her to take it so I can hang out all day at the beach looking for **** models for my "art" studio? ;)

Been there... Very nice place. N.C. is a great place to live, anyway! I lived in N.C. for about 7 yrs. Stationed at Ft. Bragg for 5 of those..

Does her job happen to mention what specific area (Havelock, New Bern, Morehead City)? I say that because it would behoove you to steer clear of Havelock since the place is a total dump. I know because I have been to Cherry Point MCAS in Havelock countless times. New Bern and Morehead City are beautiful places though ;)

Dude, great area.
I wasn't too fond of Ft. Bragg (Fayetteville specifically) myself but the state is georgeous. What DOD site are you? Go PM if you need. I am working for a DOD "contractor" and have been keeping my eye on a few GS jobs here in the midwest. Kind of scarce for me unless I can move around.
