Hi, I was thinking about buying the following
http://camelbak.com/camelbak/images/pm20131.jpg
http://camelbak.com/mil/cb_prod.cfm?Product_ID=81&CATID=6

Anyone have any opinions on it? Also, should I have any preference to which online store I might buy it from? I found it on eagleindustries.com lightfighter.com rangerjoes.com quanticoarms.com. I heard some people had some problems with lightfighter, but maybe I was imagining things.

Thanks.

Good choice on the thermobak, I would go with Lightfighter too.

You can get them cheaper. I would avoid Light Fighter.

Going discount rate is right around 38.00 and change. Lightfighter.com has 'em for 50.00 plus.

Me too, they seem to have some kind of problem with every delivery I know of.

At least I'm not ordering anything through them anymore until I hear a good deal of positive feedback from other people.

I've had one for the last 2 years, best piece of kit I've bought.

Good piece of kit, avoid platypus, they're cheaper but in my experience they're ****. Kept leaking. Had no problems with a camelbac though, have yet to hear anyone complain about one either.

Camelbaks are well worth the money.
I first bought some cheap, off brand years ago, it lasted about 5 minutes in the field. I would have been better off with a plastic bag and a straw.

i would suggest the light hawg or whatever its called...

it has pockets on the back instead of just the camelbak...

makes sense if your going to have that on your back to be able to store just a little bit of stuff ... like keys or a cell phone when joggin or anything like that.

its not that much more then the regular -- both hold 3l

I have this

and also the one you posted... since i bought the one ABOVE, i have NEVER used the one you mention... just my preference but the pockets and storage space is great... not too much - just enough

The best piece of gear i've ever bought. I got mine from Botachtactical.com (I know, I know...) and I think they are running a sale for under 40$ last time I checked. The whole insulation thing is really more hype than anything, atleast my experience. Yes, it will keep your water "cool" for hours, but cool is more like can tell when you have some in your mouth. Up here in the summer where it easily reaches 85 (F, I know it isn't a lot) with 100% humidity, it stays cold with half ice for about 20 minutes, then you just have cool water.

I like mine. If the SDS hydration packs are durable, I'd go with this one:

http://secure.specialtydefense.com/cgi-bin/sds/5031.html

$65.00, but it has PALS webbing so you can put a pouch on it, if that's your thing. I used some special adhesive to attatch 2 compass pouches to my Camelbak Thermobak like that one, to hold gauze and ****.

I recommend it!

I just bought the all black M.U.L.E. so I would have some pockets for extra gloves, hearing protection, and the like. Haven't had a chance to use it but just looking over it I'm really glad I picked it up.

I bought mine at Fort Lewis though, so I got a pretty good price. :D
