Go to Blackhawk Products Group site and look for the 70UA00BK, this sling is simple and great. The only mods you may have to make is by adding 550 cord to the ends to help the weapon to sit better on you.

go for the simplest gear possible, preferably with the metal buckles, not that I had any problem with my plastic buckle sling, but it turned out to be a mistake , and I now use only the basic, wide and metal buckles sling, it looks and feels like a safety belt, but it is sturdy as hell, and easy to clean., and adapt it with paracord (doubled at least), it will give you both comfort and a chance to carry your rifle muzzle down in a proper and comfy way.
For your information, the market price here is no more than 80 NIS , about 20 US $ for a life long investment.

BTW, I bought this one first to replace the issued one (simple black sling) and can tell you, go for the next one, this is good to hold a camera, not a rifle.

I changed it for a regular one.

Thank you for the tip mate :) I think I gone go for the Assault Unit Fast Tactical Sling. Have you tried the Assault Rifle Butt Pouch from zahal.org?
does is fit on the butt stock from a G3?

One meter of paracord with a karabiner on the end, wrapped around your buttstock is all you need! ;)
Either that or a bit of bungee cord.

Gilgoul , that why we use tactical strings , amongst others . Anyway , you have to choose the right plastic belts , some tend to brake down easily (the ones you buy in Ricoshet for 40 NIS , those with wide attachment buckles , which also turn around . It's a nice gimic but it brakes ) . Israeli slings are amongst the best in the world , you only need to find the right one . I don't like metalic strings myself , they don't to brouse the shoulder and not comfortable on the long run .
There are tactical plastic rifle belts , with metalic buckles . Those are the ones that you need to buy .

Never, I saw it thought here and ther, but if avaible I would use this mag holder on wich you clip a magazine perpendiculary from the mag well, and insert the holder in the mag well, it serves two important purposes, a very quick loading (no more complicated than a mag change on an M16), and covers the mag well, wich isn`t luxury in dusty environement.
Thougt, I don`t know the g3 at all, and don`t know if you can use or adapt such a device, so the butt mag holder seems to be a nice alternative.
I did order my new sling today woot and it where a hard choice between the Assault Unit Fast Tactical Sling and the Sayeret - Special Forces Rifle Sling but I did go for the Assault Unit Fast Tactical Sling :D
and I did also buy the Rifle Butt Pouch

luno: Is that leather sling standard issue? Here in Norway we're issued a standars 3-point tacticalsling. It does the work just fine.. You should try to swap one if you get the chance... (Du er prikkskytter ikke sant? prøv å få forsvaret til og sende deg og noen andre til Norge for kurs så har du en gyllen mulighet.. Vi normenner er glade i og bytte utstyr.. ;) )
And regarding the butt mag.. If you cutt it down about 2cm and the do some needlework you're gonna have a great butt mag pouch.. If yo don't cut it, you might see xperience some dificulties with drawing the mag.
We are only issued the standard old leather sling but there is a new tacticalsling being used by the regular army but none in the National Guard :( I am issued the Hensoldt 4x24 scope to my AK4 (G3) but wouldn’t call myself a sniper :) more a sharpshooter…I hope to go to Norway next year on the annual Shooting contest :D I don’t know how you do it =) but the Norwegian National Guard also wins the 7.62 AK4/AG3 contest
Thanks for the tip on the butt mag pouch the only thing I miss now is some kind off bag for used magazine
:D

I have a open mag drop pouch clipped on my vest with a carabiner. I use this for high speed reloads, then when the pace drops try to flipp the mags into my legpouch(which has a lid so they won't fall out)
PM me and I'll send you some pictures..
