Yesterday I got to go see Sean Hannity at the Kansas City expo center. woot Oh man, it was so cool. Here's a description of my day. At 9:00 AM saturday morning, me and my Mom got in the car and began the 3 hour drive to KC, MO. We got there at about 1:15 PM. Sean was in Arizona earlier that morning, and aparently, the plane had engine trouble so he ended up being half an hour late. So, for that time, Laura Ingraham took the stage and spoke for about 45 minutes. (She's hot). :D When Sean got there, dang, every person was screaming, jumping, clapping, it was awesome. Except one guy, but I'll get to that later. He talked about the war, Saddam, Usama, Bill Clinton, Social security, medicare, I could go on for ever but I won't. After he was done speaking, he took a few questions. The first guy, haha, was some dude named Chris (liberal). BOOOOO!!!!! :bash: The loser should have kept his fat mouth shut. After all that was over, I went and bought his book and had it personnalized and autographed. It was alot of fun. After we had left the expo center, I realized we were really close to Cabela's hunting and camping store. (oh boy). Ah, heaven. It was huge, man, I mean, gigantic. Obviously, I went straight to the gun library. Usually, I wouldn't be able to hold the guns, but since my Mom was with me, they made an exception. They had the H&K Mk23, I held that (heavy). And several models of the Colt 1911. I'm working on getting my photos on the internet. woot

Since this is a internal U.S. political discussion about to erupt just at the mere mention of Sean Hannity who is a very well known conservative radio talk show host in the U.S. I had seen this pic on the net and I was always curious if it was true or if it was photoshoped (of course the writing is BUT.......)

Sean Hannity is a major douchebag. Sorry Zach but at your age you should be excited to see Trent Reznor not some hack that beats up an effeminate costar on a conservative news channel everynight.

Hey howdy hey Zac!

I am glad you had a good trip. At your age I wish fox news had been around so I could have gotten a fair and balanced view of the world (my hight school and college instructors were very skewed to the left). I do admitt to being a recovering liberal and democrat. But remeber this, never stop thinking things through on your own. Never be at the mercy of the "teacher" even if you trust and respect them. Always be willing to listen to both sides, research, and decide what YOU believe.

All that being said, Sean Hannity seems to be a great person and is really helping our country by making people Think!

Jesus blessings Zac!

PS It is great that you got to go experience that with you Mom!

And she doesn't give head anymore. I think that's the problem that's been bothering you, not the fact that she goes out and buys frigging paintball guns. ;)

California Joe, it seems you're the only "douchbag" around here considering you offer up no point to really call him a "douchbag".

When you grow older you will realize the amazing sortiment of "douchebags" in politics and the media. What a wonderful world.

Yeah, same here...except for four.

Current Military Science professor - of course, lol
12th grade English teacher - super conservative Christian
High school Art teacher - husband in 160th SOAR
High school Bio teacher - husband in 5th SFG

Out of the dozens of professors and teachers...only four. :|

My lecturers often make comments about American and British politics. I ignore them. I'm not there to learn politics and its slightly annoying that they feel it necessary to tell us their views.

Well gee Junior, maybe it's cause I'm 40 years old an have learned to see through a certain amount of bull****. It's incredibly disturbing that you're wowed by a conservative talk show host at your age. Let me know when you get to third base with your prom date and forget all about politics.

You ought to get hold of some British newspapers. Take the Mirror for the leftist fiction and the Mail or the Sun for the right wing fiction. The plus side of the Sun over the Mail is that its slightly more belivable and it has semi naked women in it.

I think what he was trying to say was that he only had access to left-wing news, so generally to get a balanced view he'd also need a right-wing news channel. I think that's what he meant anyway...

Joe, for being 40 you obviously need to return to grade school.

Yup, I guess I do. 6th grade math is vexing me sorely these days anyway. Good luck my young friend, keep your mind open while you grow up. Ask many questions on the way.

Zach: Oh, come on! First of all, your personal attacks are over the line.

Secondly, as a leftist, I will aknowledge that there are some extremely intelligent conservatives out there. However, they don't work for FoxNews, and they definitely don't include Sean Hannity; who as an intellectual is (I'm being generous) somewhere between third-rate and pathetic.

If you're looking for conservatives with brain cells, I'd say the first places to look are the Weekly Standard (http://www.weeklystandard.com/) or National Review (http://www.nationalreview.com/) online (VD Hanson (http://www.nationalreview.com/hanson/hanson-archive.asp) comes to mind). David Brooks is also pretty good, as are Andrew Sullivan, David Frum, William Safire, and James Lileks. All these authors have my respect, even though I generally disagree with them, or even find their positions offensive.

Hannity, however, is a tool. Pure and simple.

Edit: duck is right to call me on leaving off Jonah Goldberg (http://www.nationalreview.com/goldberg/goldberg-archive.asp).

[Mel Gibson? Rush Limbaugh? Newt? Assorted country music performers? If that's the best you can do, you shouldn't even be discussing politics before you do some reading.]

My forgetting Christopher Hitchens, on the other hand, was definitely a mistake though.

Edit: I must admit I've never even heard of that Boritz fellow (you've evidently misspelled it. since google hasn't heard of him either), so he might legitimietly have something to say. But, seriously citing Bill Bennett after the recent gambling scandals [I'm not a strict moralist, but Bill Bennett claimed to be one]? And isn't Shepard smith just a news anchor for FoxNews? That's a bloody sad list.

Go ahead, just make them people worth mentioning. I don't want a gigantic list of b-list actors and every moron with an AM radio show in the entire country.

In fact, how about for each person, you link to their writings? Fair?

Do senators and former presidents count? What about advisors, CEO's of big companies, former soldiers, etc.

When I first saw Fox news I thought I was watching a well thought out satire comedy....then I was proved wrong. :(

I like my conservatives to be full of intellect not hot wind (unlike myself). :D

I saw Trent at the Fragility tour. Denver, CO--last show of the tour. Best concert I've ever seen.

I've seen both Bush Sr and Clinton lecture on international politics, and frankly, the Fragility tour was cooler than both of them combined ;) And I'm into politics.
