I've been thinking about this for a while, and it sounds somewhat stupid but i'd like an answer.
I know that the most common problem for WW2 vets are hearing disorders. I was wondering if troops today are issued any kind of hearing protection when on live missions. It would be a good and bad thing, it's not like you can hear much anyway with a ****eload of guns going of around you.
I assume artillery and tank crews are issued hearing protection, but what about infantry?
