It has been viewed variously as a trial balloon, a propaganda stunt or a move to steal his critics' thunder.Whatever its intention, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's recent mention of undefined "unilateral steps" he might take to tame the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a vague but volatile remark that has created an uproar in Israel. Only Brits there were officers from various NATO HQs and a Nimrod MPA.

The HALO jumpers are French from the 11th ABN Brigade and the 120 mm mortars are from the 35° Regiment d'Artillerie Parachutiste from the same brigade.

The punny vehicle is a VAL, specificaly designed to be airlifted and air dropped; it tows the 120 mm TRF1 mortars as well as a few rounds.

The wanker in shorts is a NATO cameraman...

tell me that isn't a beret he is wearing. If you are referring to the guys on the right, those are traditional Indian uniforms. The guys with berets in the middle are Border Security Force.

A flavor of the variety of traditional Indian uniforms can be seen below. These are soldiers of the various regiments of infantry of the Indian Army.

A still image taken from amateur video made available to a French journalist November 25, 2003 appears to show militants firing the missile that hit a DHL cargo jet over Baghdad on November 22, 2003. The DHL cargo plane made an emergency landing at Baghdad airport. The attackers were shown escaping by car, and the tape then showed an aircraft descending with smoke pouring from one wing. *******/Handout

AHAHAHAHAHHAAAHAHAH!!! Really funny! Hope that's the best attempt Al Qaeda can effort in Italy. Venice people knows how to face high water, they face it every year in winter season.

For all: He219 is joking, that's simply a common case of so called "Acqua alta a Venezia" that is a sort of "limited" flood that hits Venice everytime there is too much rain. Generally water level doesn't exceed 1 meter, so it's sufficient to wear high boots and walk on apposite "catwalks" displaced all around venice to avoid wet feet! ;)

Dunno if any one noticed, but one of the Turkish soldiers is holding a crossbow.

Any ideas why? I would of thought that cross bows would of been ruled in-humane?

Not really, i mean its only an arrow. ANyway it could be used for all sorts of things, firing g-hooks to climb obstacles, i dunno. Someone else might have a better idea. I bet its not to be used as a weapon, especially in day time.
