Right now he seems too immature and doesnt have enough of an international view and understandig, but only time will tell.

I'm not really going to say one way or another, because he has 4 years before he gets his commission. Potential is always there for a good soldier.

I think he will be a scary one that napalms villagers.
Eventually his unit will go crazy and become heroin addicts.

Strange how lots of people voted No and then didn't bother to say why. How can you judge someone by what they say on an internet forum. Thats dumber than saying Michael Jackson doesn't fiddle with kids.

He tries to "walk the walk" way too often and it comes off horribly bad.

ok here's the short version:
he's kind of the stereotypical gung-ho m60-toting marine that always gets that strange fuzzy look in combat...everyone in the squad tries to stay away from him as he's always the crazy ass irresponsible uncontrollable rambo... now would you give someone like that stripes?
no offense, but thats the way tf160soar always appears....
not to forget that he's an intolerant, know-it-all (especially better than btdt), always-got-his-extremist-redneck-opinion-at-hand maniac.
i'd say if you'd send him down to iraq for hearts and minds u'd get burning hearts and hating minds...
i could go on for a little, but i'd say this covers covers it mostly...

This is what I saw in my vision:
TF160SOAR is walking through North Korea with his band of surly rogue ninjas, when he suddenly comes across a village filled with potential commie insurgents.
He quickly carves up a few orphan children with his Swiss army spoon then proceeds to extract information from a North Korean intelligence officer that’s conveniently posing as the local donkey.
His men over a period of time become bitter and detached from his violent ways and take to the path of junkie heaven, selling their ammo to share in the bliss of drug escapism.
One night after a bad nightmare TF160SOAR is last seen running through some wilderness shouting:
“Traitors every where, must burn the world!!!!!”

Ending scene of Animal House, The movie concludes by describing each character's fate. Niedermeyer was "killed in Vietnam by his own troops." In director John Landis' segment of Twilight Zone: The Movie, some soldiers are overheard discussing "fragging Niedermeyer."
Ooops I mixed up Apocalypse Now and Twilight Zone.

I don't think anyone of us are able to make ANY kind of statment about his skills in leadership, unless we know him in person.
However, I've always feelt that one should not be able to become an officer before one has spent ATLEAST a year as a grunt. In that way one would know more of what it's all about.

That is enough! You bastards apologize to the lad right now!
As a leader myself I can say that the Boy Scouts of America would be lucky to have such an officer. I hope he goes far with them.

never met the guy, so its not my place to comment, but judging by his attitude here, he might be a tad too cocky...yeah, you should be confident and have some cockiness, but remember theres always someone better out there, and the moment you get too cocky is the moment they have their site on your head.
Unless you are a fast jet driver, then you are allowed to be an arrogant **** hot sonnofabitch.
After five long years as ranger officer he is invited to the CAG try-outs. Passes with a bruises and cuts only to find out "Delta" is just a pseudonym for the Air Force One steward crew. Spends ten unforgettable years serving scrambled eggs and coffee to various presidents and bitches about them with other "Delta" "operators". Writes memoirs.

unless you end up on an E and E exercise note your unarmed combat course and pressure points won't work when your facing off against a platoon
