Aimpoint M68 on Carrying Handle?

I've seen some Aimpoint M68s mounted on M4's carrying handles in various movies and shows? I'm wondering if anyone uses that, does it do any good being so high, and how does it mount? Thanx

Theres an adapter piece that allows the M68 to screw onto the carrying handle of an M4/M16. I had one on top of my M16 for a while. As long as you zero it, there are no problems with the height.
