ludlow is a pretty strange place to have one of the best restaurants in the world

and bray is tiny and yet it has 3!

Interesting. Thanks for posting it.

But these things are ALWAYS slanted; if this list was generated by an American, French or Spanish organization, I bet the UK wouldn't have more restaurants in the top 50 than any of those countries.

They're surely in the top 50 because they actually don't serve british food ;)

(roughly 14 french restaurants in that list, not counting the french cuisine ones abroad)

Food has become truly international nowadays, so if we're talking about British food, we'd be talking about Roast Beef, Yorkshire Puddings, Roast Potatoes and decent gravy made from the juices from the meat etc, mmmmmmmmm!

After all, if we wanted to split hairs we could say that that pasta is just chinese noodles etc.

Basically if you come to Britain, you can get great food. This proves it.

ludlow is the second best town in the UK for eating out, according to the Times newspaper.

It has :
British , French, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Italian,Indian?Balti(they are different) as well as fish and chips and kebab shop innit.

Since Ive been in the States, I have to defend British cuisine on a daily basis!
Ive actually managed to convert many of my friends, as we often have a big roast on Sundays, roast potatos, Yorkshire pudding etc.
The hardest item to find is a good sausage, I hate those damn patties they have here.
