Bus passengers from Pakistani controlled Kashmir and Indian Kashmir wave as they walk with officials across Kaman Bridge, the de-facto border between India and Pakistan on the line of control (LOC), 21 April 2005. Bus passengers from the Indian and Pakistani zones of Kashmir defied Islamic militant threats and crossed the heavily-militarised ceasefire line for the second time in almost 60 years. The first batch of passengers crossed on April 7 after India and Pakistan agreed to resume the bus service between the two divided zones. Eleven Pakistanis and 14 returning residents of Indian Kashmir, who came to Muzaffarabad on the first bus two weeks ago, were the first to walk across the 220-foot (67-metre) bridge which straddles the Line of Control (LoC), the de facto border splitting the Himalayan region, police and witnesses said.

[quote]In this photo released by FX network on April 21, 2005, three actors depicting U.S. soldiers in Iraq open fire during a scene in the pilot episode of the cable television series "Over There," filmed in 2005 in Southern California. The wife of a Kentucky soldier has complained that such a show is "disrespectful and distatestful" and has urged other military families to complain to the network. The actor in the foreground is Erik Palladino, in the center is Josh Henderson and on the far left is Luke MacFarlane. (AP Photo/FX Network, David Hume Kennerly)

I wonder how she could possible assess this show, if it hasn't been aired yet?

Me thinks sh'e attacking the idea and not the content.

T. i too dont agree with what this show is doing  i believe that a tv show doesnt need to be developed on such a serious subject, things will be put into the show to attract viewers while distorting actual events. the new show i can almost bet will have political subjects to it such as prisoner abuse, involvement in the war, friendly fire and other subjects that are not appropriate for a fictional show to depict. people who dont know better will believe what they see on this show as actual reality, whether a positive message or not damage will be done in my opinion. accuracy to subjects and events will not be judged on this show by actual soldiers but by the writers hired for the show .it is another platoon in the making

Also I like Platoon that movie kicks ass. woot what i meant by the platoon comment is they will most likely put as many negative stereotypes into the show that they can. fx is known to put on shows that push edge of what we see is appropriate like you said it looks cool but will it do justice to our troops, i know after this show goes on that people around me are going to be like "yeah i know whats happening in iraq, i watched over there" i agree callous it will probably be an entertaining show and all we can do wait and see :)
