Theres plenty of pics of SOF using them. They also got a line of gloves that are "touch sensitive" saw them at the Honda motorcycle dealership.

depends on what kind you get, the ones here are heat and cuts. the grip is really good actually, i havnt dropped anything yet rofl...
:cantbeli:
theyre good for shooting, some ppl just file off the tip of the trigger finger, but i dont. i dunno about sensative trigger work, i'm a SAW or a 240B gunner and you can only be so sensative with a SAW or a 240B. i really like them though...

I used the piss out of my Hatch Operator's in Iraq; all 3 sets. Awesome gloves, feel great, nice dexterity, etc. But the damn fingers blow out as fast as 15 days, I've since made sewing a daily hobby. Granted, picking up hundreds of pieces of UXO and stacking for disposal as well as wearing them in conjunction with shooting will put em to the test. But I'm looking closer and closer to Mechanix for longevity along with having a very similar dexterity and comfort issues. Mechanics like them for obvious reasons...Anyone been using any of the Mechanix gloves extensively? Home? Iraq? Hot/Cold?

MEchanics' gloves? Real mechanics use bare hands...
yeah i was going to say...my pops was a mechanic for like 40 years, and his hands were almost like leather - stained and cracked and hard, i dont know how nan put up with him.
Never wore gloves though- maybe that was part of his problem ;)
theyre also really good for doin searches on ppl, thin enough to still be able to feel paper or any other thin stuff, but strong enoguh not to cut yourself on a knife for instance...

I used the Oakley gloves for a little while before they crapped out. I used them for about 2 months before the damn things got ripped to hell, (and its not like I was using them overly harsh) For $60+ I think the Oakleys should have held out a little longer than 2 months. Not really an asault glove per say, but I have been using the Under Armour receivers gloves and I love them. They are tough as nails but still very sensative when it comes to handaling objects or shooting. They are almost form fitting to your hand if you get the correct size. They are perfect for me since the team I am in I'm the wheelman (never leave the vehicle)so they provide me the protection I want with the sensativity I need. Plus they are only about $25 a pair, so no need to worry about beating them to hell.

I use a pair of leather tight weave gloves when on partol. They are made by gimbal gloves, one of the best gloves in the world. There is nothing better than a brown/black leather glove with a kevlar insert or tight weave.
