better than the old one thats for sure, hopefully my friend will still have to wear the old one when he goes in so I can make fun of him :D . I just hope when I go to basic I don't get the new acu's.

hmmm.with the tan shirt it looks a little too Marine Corps esque....grey shirt is sharp though...

So is this in addition to those new bdu's the navy is getting? It looks like they stole these uniforms from the Air Force and Marines...doesn't really look "Navy" to me. :(

edit: Well after reading the article it looks like these are gonna replace the Navy whites and winter blues...not the traditional "Cracker Jack" lookin' things (with bell bottoms and funny hat), but the ones where its white/black trousers and a button-up shirt. Not too bad IMHO...cause the Navy at my post just switched to summer whites. The Navy is not exactly the thinnest service around...so you can see their rolls and underwear through the whites, not very flattering.

hope they decide to change the airforces service dress...im tired of looking like a poorly tailored flight attendant on the odd occaisons i wear blues...

yeah I know it sucks, but eh it could be worse.

the navy shouldn't do this, too much tradition with the current uniforms, IMO. Guess they have to keep up with the other branches
