Ooh, it's been a while since I studied Macbeth. I do remember watching a "modern day" film version of it, which was absolutely ace, Land Rovers and Uzi's and all sort of cool stuff...

I don't know that I could say I'm "most like" any of the characters.... I'd be more like Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. :D

Lady Macbeth scares me! Talk about ruthless!

I found that to be quite funny, Mercutio (I think that's what he's called, haven't read it for a while) and company as Uzi toting 'gangstas' who speak in ye olde Shakespearian.

Hamlet is the one about the Danish Prince who seeks revenge on his uncle for the murder of his father, ascention to the throne and marriage to the widowed queen- Hamlet's mother. Horatio is his best buddy and eventually revenge does come and the king is killed for his treacherous deeds. (although Ofelia- Hamlet's woman- dies, her father Polonius dies, Hamlet's mom dies and Hamlet himself...well, dies and the Danish kingdom is left to Fortenbras- Prince of Norway.)

MacBeth is the other one... ;)

Are you're refering to the Romeo and Juliet version?

"Scotland Pa." is a modern day film adaptation of Macbeth, it's pretty good.

I thought hamlet was alot more interesting. They have a new version of it starring Ethan Hawke (my twin).

Shameful confession time:
I consider myself a reasonably well-read guy, as having a fairly sound grounding in the essentials, and even as being a bit the intellectual =)

Nonetheless, I must admit I have never read Macbeth (or Beowulf, for that matter).

That's the one! I swear some of them were carrying SA80's too. "Ah, thine tool of ye power hath malfunctioned once more! Thou must invest thine gold pieces in ye H&K.."

I'm 100% sure it wasn't Romeo and Juliet, seeing as A) I've already seen R&J, B) Leonardo de ****io wasn't in it, and C) I can tell the difference between two different films :)
