Well, that totally sucks, but why were the skydivers jumping out over an airport in the first place? Wouldn't a remote area be safer?

It's ironic that his last name was Wing and he was killed by an aeroplanes wing while skydiving.....

Gus Wing was also the videographer and still photographer for skydive DeLand with years of experience and tons of jumps.

Not a good idea , jumping over an airport.

15 years ago a brit jumped over a "helicopter" training area.

Got the picture? Think what he thought as he drifted into the spinning rotors and was dices and sliced.

Well, I think the idea of jumping over an airport is to not have to walk back, but they coulda landed on the grass.... :|

Mother of God, another of my nightmares come to life. The only way that could have been worse is if he landed in a pit of alligators. *shudders*

Mike Johnston, general manager of Skydive DeLand, said the accident was not common.

"There are about 15 million jumps every year," Johnston told The Daytona Beach News-Journal. "I only know of one other case where a sky diver was struck by an airplane."
