Damn thats CHEAP. I paid 1400 DM back then (700 €). I heard now it's normally around 1000 €. = 1300 $ :|

Personally...I think the American driving system needs a major overhaul. They really need to toughen the standards a bit, make people appreciate the privilege. Then maybe we wouldn't have so many morons on the roads.

I went through drivers’ education in high school, and then I went through a professional driver’s course, like a racing school, that taught you how to handle the vehicle in different situations and such...That really made me a better driver. It costs a bit of money, but was well worth it.

That's what everyone in the U.S. needs to go through.

Getting a license in the U.S. is like most of the girls here in Florida...Too dang easy.

People from NJ, NY, and CT are much worse than the rest of the US.

I've been in Poland though and seen Polish drivers. Drivers there struck me as generally doing what they wanted, when they wanted, where they wanted.

i think you didn't get my point there. I drove in nyc and upstate ny as weel as new jersey and conneticut. First let's say in aggressivenes in city traffic nothing beats paris. But i had the feeling (trying not to generalize) many american drivers - not only direct in the metrop. area - seem to have all their windows taped... :lol: Just driving straight only looking straight.

I was not talking about aggressive city-driving. I don't think i forget how to drive when i'd lived there. I drive for some years and have driven in maybe +/- 10 countries. I was always aware of the situation. But because i have hat comparision i thought americans drove let's say "special".
