I've always wanted to see the Blue Angels someday. I saw the Thunderbirds earlier this year and that was simply amazing.

They come to Annapolis, about 2 times a year. They're awesome, not much different than the Thunderbirds, which I've also seen, so its not like you're missing much.

do you save as .bmp? that's the only way i can save and it is eating up way too much disk space.

super ouch for me. i have 5,083 files in my pictures folder.

i could do a script in photoshop but that would take forever because i would need to open each file individually still.

i'm not sure but the CF-18 is just the canadian designation for the F/A-18.

i could do a script in photoshop but that would take forever because i would need to open each file individually still.


make the scipt under the action pallate, make a new action, name it bmp to jpg or some such, click record, open a bmp, save as a jpg on quality 10, then close the picture. after the picture is closed then click stop in the action pallate to stop recording your action.

go to file/automate/batch - photoshop 5 or higher i believe.

for source, choose the folder you would like to convert. if its not on folder put it on folder. if you have folders within folder you can check that off also but be forewarned photoshop will not recreate your folder structure when you run the script, it will simply dump all the pics into one folder. so if you have a folder for plains trains and automobiles, then you have to run batch on each one individually so as not to have to resort your archive.

choose a destination folder, aka create a new one, once you are done batching to that folder make sure it has the same file count as your original so you know everything is in working order. once that works out you can jump through the rest.

hickups can be encountered when running a script with a batch, for instance when you run the batch it may ask you to hit "okay" for every file its saving. to skip this you can go back to the action pallate, and in the script, turn of the close window feature, and you may have to turn off the action "open" in your script to makee the script work seamlessly in batch. this could be a conflict due to the batch having its own close window built in command. under batch you can select "overide action "save in" commands".


of course if your version of PS is older then.... well, sorry. and if its newer then 5,6, sorry, 7 sucked and i havnt run through CS yet to see if the old is the same so i might be off by something. good luck.

I don't think there's any practical difference between the FA-18 and CF-18.

many of these phots are of f-18e s which are "super hornets" amongst other changes they are 4 feet longer than an f-18 a-d. as well as being able to perform a "buddy tanker " role
the CF -18 is an f-18 a or b, the differences are simply in electronics packages. and I understand they lack the carrier landing hook completely.
