Reporting of Casualties

I seem to read a lot about these fights with the Republican Guard and a mention of no reports of US Casualties. In the beginning of this conflict, It seems we would get a press release when someone sprained an ankle. Have we been luckier? better prepared? or have they put a lid on those happenings and figures till this is over, to avoid giving the other voice more reasons to protest?

Don't know about your side of the pond, but this side we're finally learning the lesson that next of kin need to be informed first, then at least the media only go into a feeding frenzy over the families involved - rather than all the NOK of a particular unit having to go through the mill...
