In fact is not Leopard2A6 but Leopardo or Leopard2E a Spanish version of leopard simi lar to German version but with many midifications as climatization, it has a biggest armour, etc..

The extra armour is part of the 2A5 package. It is a part of the modernization program known as KWS II. The Spanish version is the 2A5 with modifications, called Leopard 2E.

The Swedish version (Stridsvagn 122, also a version of 2A5) is the most heavily armoured Leopard. For example the roof has additional armour. Stridsvagn 122 also has upgraded command and control systems.

The Leopard 2A6 has a longer main gun (L55) than other Leopards and some other modifications (modernization program known as KWS I). 219 Leopard 2A6 are license-built in Spain by General Dynamics, Santa Barbara Sistemas (GDSBS).

VCI Pizarro is only spanish we have copy it from anybody, is a Spanish proyect, spanish desing, spanish made totally spanish copy from anybody, it was made in cooperation with Austria where they call it Ulan (santa barbara and steyr daimler puch) and is Norwege whoe buy it to us and not Sweden

As Marino explained, the Pizarro/Ulan is not copied from anyone. It is a joint Spanish/Austria design. And it is an excelent vehicle. Sweden produces a visually similar APC, but it is a totally independent development.

And the Leopard is produced under licence; not copied. This is a very common industrial practice when it makes no economical sense to develop a new product. Even the USA produces equipment under licence from other countries. The gun of the Abrams is the first that comes to my mind. The german H&K G3 was produced under licence FROM Spain.
