This Guy is an Jäger ( Light Infantry) from the Hammelburg Infanterieschule

Not exactly. He is a serviceman of the Jägerlehrbataillon 353 which is based in Hammelburg, also home of the Infantry School. The picture was taken during a presentatiohn of the new "Infanterist der Zukunft" (Future Land Warrior)-Programme.

As a result of our glorious transformation, the Jägerlehrbataillon 353 will be disbanded and become a part of the new Airborne Infantry Regiment of the Division Luftbewegliche Kräfte (Army Aviation Division).

To be honest, I am not sure yet. Some of my sources report that some units of this Regiment will be based in Schwarzenborn, others in Hammelburg. The former Mechanized Infantry Bataillon 152 based in Schwarzenborn will also be disbanded and the personnel will become the core staff of the new DLO Regiment.

I will observe the transformation anyway, as soon I get news, I will tell you.
