qoute: He said he grew uncomfortable with the military when he was made to shout "Kill! Kill! Kill!" during a basic training exercise. -Funk

Wonder what was hiS real reason in joining the marines? ( he was probably jus checkin out sweaty hard bodied marines) this guy must be really stupid!! he joined the marines and didt expect he would do some killing rofl maybe this guy hasnt seen full metal jacket?? or maybe this guy was so stupid he mis took the MARINE CORPS for the MERCHANT MARINES???

Hey theres nothing wrong with being gay (I'm not gay ok). But what the hell this guy doesn't want to go fight! Jez, he joined the military! Did he think they just dress up and use guns just for fun?

This Funk Guy is a Jackass.

He knew what he was getting into. He didn't join the Airforce as a computer tech, he didnt join the Army as a cook. He didn't join the Navy to work in the engine room. He joined the Marines.

All the jobs in the military are honorable and brave, You can expect some to have no trigger time at all. But Marines Fight, and every Marine is a Rifleman 1st.

He probably chose the Marines cause It would make him sound tough.

When you sign your contract to defend your country, you simply can't wake up one morning and decide not to go to work.

This guy is a piece of SHlT

I think it sucks that he mentioned that he was gay. Ultimately it has nothing to do with him not wanting to fight, although maybe he was hoping he'd be discharged easily on the basis that he's gay, instead of having to pay a penalty for opting not to fight. He's shown that he's not a respectable man twice now. First for not fulfilling his obligations, and second for trying to weasel out of the penalty that he would have to face because of it.

I agree with Hood. One's got nothing to do with the other. I am really unimpressed when members of our (all volunteer) military suddenly want to back out when they are asked to do what they signed up for. I don't know about the rest of you folks who serve, but I seem to recall this whole little ceremony where I raised my hand and swore to defend my country, constitution, and obey orders from my President. That isn't verbatum, but that's the gist. They kind of make like it's a big deal and you're giving your word. How hard is it for us to keep our word? For me, not very. I will go wherever and do whatever my commander and cheif wants me to, because it's the right thing to do , and because I said I would. Don't send these idiots to war, fine. Let then serve out their time at Ft. Leavenworth as E1s in jail. Then they won't have to do any of the bad mean things our military expects of them.
